DRAG H40 Pro: A Step Up from DRAG H40

The VOOPOO DRAG H40 Pro builds on the original DRAG H40 with several practical upgrades. Both devices offer up to 40W output and maintain the compact design of the H40 series, but the Pro brings noticeable improvements in battery capacity, coil platform, charging, and display.

A Bigger Battery

The biggest difference is battery capacity. The original DRAG H40 has a 1500mAh built-in battery, while the DRAG H40 Pro increases this to 2450mAh. According to VOOPOO, that is a 63% increase over the previous generation.

The Pro also supports 5V/2A Type-C charging while keeping the adjustable 5–40W power range.

PnP X Platform Upgrade

Another important change is the move from PnP to PnP X. The DRAG H40 uses the PnP POD II and PnP coils, while the H40 Pro adopts PnP X cartridges and coils.

Depending on the version, the H40 Pro supports different PnP X options for MTL, RDL, and DTL setups. The newer platform also features an updated leak-resistant structure and is designed for longer coil endurance.

A Larger TFT Screen

The original DRAG H40 features a 0.54-inch OLED screen. The DRAG H40 Pro upgrades this to a larger 0.72-inch TFT display, making key device information easier to check.

Which One Should You Choose?

The DRAG H40 remains a compact 40W option for users already invested in the PnP platform. However, the DRAG H40 Pro is the more up-to-date choice for new buyers.

Its 2450mAh battery, PnP X compatibility, 2A charging, and larger TFT screen provide meaningful improvements without changing the compact concept of the original H40.

For most users choosing between the two today, the DRAG H40 Pro offers the more complete package.
